A New Standard for Responsible Management for a Sustainable Future

 

 

WF책임경영지수(WF Sustainable Responsibility Index, WFSRI)는 세계청년리더총연맹(WORLD FEDERATION OF POWER LEADERS, WFPL)이 장기간의 연구개발을 통해 확립한 책임경영 평가 연구성과를 토대로, SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)가 수립·운영하는 SEC 평가방법론(SEC Evaluation Methodology)과 SEC 평가체계(SEC Evaluation Framework)를 통해 기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 책임경영 평가결과를 종합하여 산출하는 SEC의 종합평가지수(Comprehensive Evaluation Index)이다.

 

The WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) is SEC’s Comprehensive Evaluation Index, derived by integrating the Responsible Management evaluation results of corporations, public institutions, and other organizations through the SEC Evaluation Methodology and SEC Evaluation Framework established and operated by SEC (Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission), based on the Responsible Management evaluation research outcomes established through long-term research and development by the WORLD FEDERATION OF POWER LEADERS (WFPL).

 

WFSRI는 SEC 평가체계 자체를 의미하지 않으며, 개별 평가지표의 단순한 합계를 의미하지도 않는다. SEC 평가방법론과 SEC 평가체계를 통해 도출된 책임경영 평가결과를 종합적으로 반영하여 조직의 책임경영을 하나의 통합된 관점에서 나타내는 지수이다.

 

The WFSRI does not refer to the SEC Evaluation Framework itself, nor does it represent a simple sum of individual Evaluation Indicators. It is an index that comprehensively reflects Responsible Management evaluation results derived through the SEC Evaluation Methodology and SEC Evaluation Framework and presents organizational Responsible Management from an integrated perspective.

 

WFSRI는 조직의 현재 성과만을 나타내는 데 그치지 않는다. 조직이 사회와 환경, 이해관계자와 공동체, 현재세대와 미래세대에 미치는 영향을 인식하고 그에 상응하는 책임을 어떻게 이행하는지를 바탕으로 지속가능성, 장기 가치창출 및 미래변화에 대한 대응역량을 종합적으로 살펴본다.

 

The WFSRI extends beyond an organization’s current performance. It comprehensively considers sustainability, long-term value creation, and capabilities for responding to future change based on how an organization recognizes its impacts on society and the environment, stakeholders and communities, and present and future generations, and how it fulfills responsibilities corresponding to those impacts.

 

WFSRI는 조직의 규모나 단기적인 성과 자체를 평가하는 데 목적을 두지 않는다. 조직이 자신의 역할과 영향력을 어떻게 인식하고, 그 영향에 따른 책임을 정책과 제도, 의사결정과 운영에 어떻게 반영하며, 변화하는 환경에서 지속가능한 가치를 어떻게 창출하고 미래변화에 대응하는지를 종합적으로 평가하는 데 목적을 둔다.

 

The WFSRI does not seek to evaluate organizational scale or short-term performance in itself. It seeks to comprehensively evaluate how organizations recognize their roles and impacts, how responsibilities arising from those impacts are reflected in policies, systems, decision-making, and operations, and how they create sustainable value and respond to future change in an evolving environment.

 

WFSRI는 ESG를 대체하기 위한 지수가 아니다. ESG가 제시해 온 환경·사회·거버넌스에 관한 기본적인 가치와 문제의식을 존중하면서, 조직의 영향범위 확대와 AI를 비롯한 기술혁신, 사회·환경·산업구조의 변화에 따라 새롭게 요구되는 책임을 함께 살펴보는 보다 종합적이고 미래지향적인 책임경영 평가를 지향한다.

 

The WFSRI is not an index intended to replace ESG. While respecting the fundamental values and concerns relating to Environmental, Social, and Governance factors, the WFSRI seeks a more comprehensive and future-oriented approach to Responsible Management evaluation that also considers emerging responsibilities arising from the expanding scope of organizational impact, technological innovation including AI, and changes in social, environmental, and industrial structures.

 

WFSRI의 이러한 관점은 조직의 영향이 확대될수록 그 영향에 상응하는 책임도 함께 확대되어야 한다는 인식에서 출발한다. 이러한 WFSRI의 평가철학과 이를 구체화하는 이론적 기반은 「WFSRI 평가철학과 이론적 토대」에서 제시한다.

 

This perspective of the WFSRI begins with the recognition that as the influence of an organization expands, responsibility corresponding to that influence should also expand. The Evaluation Philosophy of the WFSRI and the theoretical foundations that give concrete form to this philosophy are presented in “Evaluation Philosophy and Theoretical Foundations of the WFSRI.”
