9 Evaluation Domains

 

 

 

SEC 평가체계는 기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 책임경영을 체계적으로 평가하기 위하여 9대 평가부문(Evaluation Domains)을 설정한다.

The SEC Evaluation Framework establishes 9 Evaluation Domains to systematically evaluate the Responsible Management of corporations, public institutions, and other organizations.

9대 평가부문은 환경, 지속가능경영과 혁신, 인권과 노동, 지역사회와 미래세대, 지배구조와 윤리, 이해관계자와 소비자, 공급망과 가치사슬, 디지털 책임과 AI, 리스크관리와 조직의 회복탄력성 등 책임경영의 주요 영역을 포괄한다.

The 9 Evaluation Domains encompass major areas of Responsible Management, including the environment, sustainability management and innovation, human rights and labor, communities and future generations, governance and ethics, stakeholders and consumers, supply chains and value chains, digital responsibility and AI, risk management, and organizational resilience.

각 평가부문은 독립적인 평가영역을 구성하면서도 다른 평가부문과 상호 연계되며, 조직의 정책과 제도, 운영과 이행, 성과와 영향 및 책임을 종합적으로 살펴볼 수 있도록 구성한다.

Each Evaluation Domain constitutes a distinct area of evaluation while remaining interconnected with other domains, enabling a comprehensive examination of organizational policies and systems, operations and implementation, performance and impacts, and accountability.

Ⅰ. 기후변화 대응·환경책임 및 자연자본

I. Climate Change Response, Environmental Responsibility and Natural Capital

기후변화 대응·환경책임 및 자연자본 부문은 조직이 사업과 활동 과정에서 환경에 미치는 영향을 인식하고 기후변화와 탄소중립, 에너지 전환, 환경오염 예방, 자원순환, 환경효율성, 자연자본, 수자원, 생물다양성 및 생태계 보호 등에 관한 책임을 어떻게 이행하고 있는지를 평가한다.

The Climate Change Response, Environmental Responsibility and Natural Capital Domain evaluates how an organization recognizes the environmental impacts arising from its business and activities and fulfills its responsibilities relating to climate change and carbon neutrality, energy transition, pollution prevention, resource circulation, environmental efficiency, natural capital, water resources, biodiversity, and ecosystem protection.

현재의 환경성과뿐만 아니라 환경위험과 기회에 대한 대응, 환경영향의 저감 및 장기적인 환경적 지속가능성을 위한 조직의 노력과 성과를 함께 살펴본다.

The evaluation considers not only current environmental performance but also the organization’s efforts and outcomes in responding to environmental risks and opportunities, reducing environmental impacts, and supporting long-term environmental sustainability.

Ⅱ. 지속가능경영·미래전략 및 혁신

II. Sustainability Management, Future Strategy and Innovation

지속가능경영·미래전략 및 혁신 부문은 지속가능경영이 조직의 비전과 전략, 의사결정 및 운영체계에 어떻게 반영되고 실제 실행과 성과관리로 연결되고 있는지를 평가한다.

The Sustainability Management, Future Strategy and Innovation Domain evaluates how sustainability management is incorporated into an organization’s vision and strategy, decision-making, and operational systems and how it is translated into implementation and performance management.

또한 지속가능한 투자와 자원배분, 기술혁신과 미래가치 창출 및 변화하는 산업·사회·기술환경에 대응하기 위한 지속가능한 역량을 함께 살펴본다.

The evaluation also considers sustainable investment and resource allocation, technological innovation and future value creation, and sustainable capabilities for responding to changing industrial, social, and technological environments.

Ⅲ. 인권·노동·안전 및 다양성

III. Human Rights, Labor, Safety and Diversity

인권·노동·안전 및 다양성 부문은 조직이 임직원과 근로자 및 관련 이해관계자의 기본적 권리를 존중하고 책임 있는 고용과 노동환경을 조성하고 있는지를 평가한다.

The Human Rights, Labor, Safety and Diversity Domain evaluates whether an organization respects the fundamental rights of employees, workers, and relevant stakeholders and provides responsible employment and working conditions.

인권보호와 노동권, 안전·보건, 건강한 조직환경, 평등·다양성·포용 및 사회적 약자 보호 등을 중심으로 조직의 제도와 운영, 이행 및 성과를 종합적으로 살펴본다.

The evaluation comprehensively considers organizational systems, operations, implementation, and performance relating to human rights and labor rights, occupational safety and health, a healthy organizational environment, equality, diversity and inclusion, and the protection of socially vulnerable groups.

Ⅳ. 지역사회·사회적 가치 및 미래세대

IV. Local Communities, Social Value and Future Generations

지역사회·사회적 가치 및 미래세대 부문은 조직이 지역사회 및 사회와 형성하는 관계와 그 과정에서 창출하는 공공가치와 사회적 가치를 평가한다.

The Local Communities, Social Value and Future Generations Domain evaluates an organization’s relationships with local communities and society and the Public Value and Social Value created through those relationships.

지역사회와의 협력과 참여, 사회안전망, 공동체 신뢰와 사회적 회복력, 미래세대의 보호·지원 및 역량 강화 등을 중심으로 조직이 공동체의 지속가능한 발전에 어떻게 기여하고 있는지를 살펴본다.

The evaluation considers how an organization contributes to the sustainable development of communities through cooperation and engagement with local communities, social safety nets, community trust and social resilience, and the protection, support, and empowerment of future generations.

Ⅴ. 지배구조·감사 및 윤리경영

V. Governance, Audit and Ethical Management

지배구조·감사 및 윤리경영 부문은 조직의 최고의사결정기구가 책임성과 독립성 및 전문성을 바탕으로 조직의 주요 의사결정과 감독기능을 적절하게 수행하고 있는지를 평가한다.

The Governance, Audit and Ethical Management Domain evaluates whether an organization’s highest decision-making body appropriately performs its major decision-making and oversight functions with accountability, independence, and professionalism.

감사와 내부통제, 준법과 책임체계, 윤리경영, 반부패와 청렴 및 이해상충 관리 등을 통해 조직의 의사결정과 운영이 책임 있고 건전하게 이루어질 수 있는 기반이 마련되어 있는지를 함께 살펴본다.

The evaluation also considers whether appropriate foundations are in place for responsible and sound organizational decision-making and operations through audit and internal control, compliance and accountability systems, ethical management, anti-corruption and integrity, and conflict-of-interest management.

Ⅵ. 이해관계자 권리·소비자 보호 및 공정운영

VI. Stakeholder Rights, Consumer Protection and Fair Operations

이해관계자 권리·소비자 보호 및 공정운영 부문은 조직의 활동으로 영향을 받거나 조직에 영향을 미치는 다양한 이해관계자의 권리와 정당한 이익이 적절하게 보호되고 있는지를 평가한다.

The Stakeholder Rights, Consumer Protection and Fair Operations Domain evaluates whether the rights and legitimate interests of diverse stakeholders who affect or are affected by an organization’s activities are appropriately protected.

이해관계자의 참여와 소통, 소비자·이용자의 권익과 안전, 책임 있는 서비스, 공정운영과 공정경쟁 및 책임 있는 거래 등을 중심으로 조직과 이해관계자 간의 관계가 공정하고 책임 있게 운영되고 있는지를 살펴본다.

The evaluation considers whether relationships between the organization and its stakeholders are managed fairly and responsibly, with particular attention to stakeholder participation and communication, consumer and user rights and safety, responsible services, fair operations and competition, and responsible business transactions.

Ⅶ. 책임 있는 공급망·조달 및 가치사슬

VII. Responsible Supply Chains, Procurement and Value Chains

책임 있는 공급망·조달 및 가치사슬 부문은 조직의 책임이 자체적인 운영범위에만 머무르지 않고 공급망과 조달 및 가치사슬 전반에서 어떻게 관리되고 있는지를 평가한다.

The Responsible Supply Chains, Procurement and Value Chains Domain evaluates how organizational responsibility is managed beyond an organization’s own operations across its supply chains, procurement activities, and value chains.

협력사 관리, 지속가능하고 공정한 조달과 계약관리, 상생협력 및 가치사슬에서 발생할 수 있는 주요 영향과 책임의 관리 등을 종합적으로 살펴본다.

The evaluation comprehensively considers supplier and business partner management, sustainable and fair procurement and contract management, mutually beneficial cooperation, and the management of significant impacts and responsibilities arising across the value chain.

Ⅷ. 디지털 책임·AI 및 정보신뢰

VIII. Digital Responsibility, AI and Information Trust

디지털 책임·AI 및 정보신뢰 부문은 인공지능과 디지털기술의 개발·도입·활용이 확대되는 환경에서 조직이 기술의 기회와 위험을 책임 있게 관리하고 있는지를 평가한다.

The Digital Responsibility, AI and Information Trust Domain evaluates whether an organization responsibly manages the opportunities and risks associated with the expanding development, adoption, and use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

AI·디지털윤리와 책임 있는 기술 활용, 개인정보와 데이터에 대한 책임, 사이버보안, 정보책임과 투명성 및 정보신뢰 등을 중심으로 디지털 환경에서 요구되는 조직의 책임과 대응체계를 살펴본다.

The evaluation considers organizational responsibilities and response systems required in the digital environment, with particular attention to AI and digital ethics, responsible use of technology, privacy and data responsibility, cybersecurity, information accountability and transparency, and information trust.

새로운 기술의 도입이나 활용 자체를 긍정적인 성과로 판단하지 않으며, 기술의 활용목적과 운영방식, 관련 위험의 관리 및 이해관계자와 사회에 미치는 영향을 함께 고려한다.

The adoption or use of new technologies is not, by itself, regarded as positive performance. The evaluation also considers the purpose and manner of technology use, the management of associated risks, and impacts on stakeholders and society.

Ⅸ. 리스크관리·회복탄력성 및 책임경영

IX. Risk Management, Resilience and Responsible Management

리스크관리·회복탄력성 및 책임경영 부문은 조직이 지속가능성에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 주요 위험과 기회를 체계적으로 식별하고 관리하며 위기와 급격한 환경변화에 대응할 수 있는 역량을 갖추고 있는지를 평가한다.

The Risk Management, Resilience and Responsible Management Domain evaluates whether an organization systematically identifies and manages significant risks and opportunities that may affect sustainability and possesses the capacity to respond to crises and rapid changes in its operating environment.

지속가능성 리스크와 기회, 미래위험, 위기대응과 사업연속성, 조직 회복탄력성 및 책임경영의 실천과 영향, 설명책임 등을 종합적으로 살펴봄으로써 책임경영이 조직 전반에서 실질적으로 구현되고 있는지를 평가한다.

The evaluation considers sustainability risks and opportunities, emerging and future risks, crisis response and business continuity, organizational resilience, the implementation and impacts of Responsible Management, and accountability to assess whether Responsible Management is substantively implemented across the organization.
