Criteria for Certification Eligibility and Determination

 

 

SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)는 최종 확정된 책임경영 평가결과를 바탕으로 정해진 인증기준을 충족한 기업 및 공공기관을 대상으로 인증제도를 운영한다.

 

SEC (Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission) operates its Certification Program for corporations and public institutions that satisfy established certification criteria based on finalized Responsible Management evaluation results.

 

인증대상과 인증기준은 평가결과와 SEC WFSRI Rating을 기초로 하되, 인증제도의 목적과 관련 규정 및 운영기준에 따라 적용한다.

 

Certification eligibility and criteria are based on evaluation results and the SEC WFSRI Rating and are applied in accordance with the purpose of the Certification Program, applicable regulations, and operational standards.

 

 

 

Ⅰ. 인증대상

I. Certification Eligibility

 

 

SEC 인증은 SEC의 평가를 통해 최종 평가결과가 확정된 기업 및 공공기관 가운데 인증기준을 충족한 평가대상을 대상으로 한다.

 

SEC Certification applies to evaluated corporations and public institutions whose final evaluation results have been confirmed through SEC evaluation and that satisfy the applicable certification criteria.

 

인증대상의 구체적인 범위는 해당 평가연도의 평가대상, 평가결과 및 인증제도 운영기준 등을 고려하여 정한다.

 

The specific scope of certification eligibility is determined in consideration of the evaluated population, evaluation results, and Certification Program operational standards applicable to the relevant evaluation year.

 

인증 여부는 기업 또는 공공기관의 규모나 인지도 등을 이유로 결정하지 않으며, 정해진 인증기준을 일관되게 적용하여 판단한다.

 

Certification status is not determined on the basis of factors such as the size or recognition of a corporation or public institution but through consistent application of established certification criteria.

 

 

 

Ⅱ. 인증 판단의 기초

II. Basis for Certification Determination

 

 

인증 여부를 판단하는 기본적인 근거는 SEC가 해당 평가연도에 최종 확정한 책임경영 평가결과이다.

 

The primary basis for determining certification status is the Responsible Management evaluation results finalized by SEC for the relevant evaluation year.

 

SEC WFSRI Rating은 인증 여부를 판단하는 데 활용할 수 있으며, 필요한 경우 인증제도에서 정한 추가적인 확인사항과 관련 요건을 함께 검토한다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating may be used in determining certification status, together with any additional verification requirements and applicable conditions established under the Certification Program.

 

인증은 특정한 하나의 평가지표나 개별적인 성과만을 근거로 결정하지 않으며, 최종 확정된 평가결과와 인증에 적용되는 기준 및 요건을 종합적으로 검토하여 결정한다.

 

Certification is not determined on the basis of any single evaluation indicator or individual performance measure. It is determined through comprehensive consideration of finalized evaluation results and the criteria and requirements applicable to certification.

 

 

 

Ⅲ. 인증기준

III. Certification Criteria

 

 

SEC는 책임경영 평가결과와 SEC WFSRI Rating 및 인증제도의 목적을 바탕으로 인증기준을 정하여 적용한다.

 

SEC establishes and applies certification criteria based on Responsible Management evaluation results, the SEC WFSRI Rating, and the purpose of the Certification Program.

 

인증기준은 인증대상이 해당 인증을 부여받기에 필요한 책임경영 수준과 관련 요건을 충족하는지를 판단할 수 있도록 구성한다.

 

Certification criteria are structured to determine whether an eligible organization meets the level of Responsible Management and other applicable requirements necessary for certification.

 

구체적인 인증기준은 관련 인증규정과 해당 평가연도에 적용되는 운영기준에 따라 관리한다.

 

Specific certification criteria are managed in accordance with applicable certification regulations and the operational standards applicable to the relevant evaluation year.

 

 

 

Ⅳ. 인증기준의 적용원칙

IV. Principles for Applying Certification Criteria

 

 

SEC는 동일한 인증제도와 동일한 평가연도에 해당하는 인증대상에 인증기준을 일관되게 적용한다.

 

SEC applies certification criteria consistently to eligible organizations subject to the same Certification Program and evaluation year.

 

인증기준을 적용할 때에는 최종 확정된 평가결과와 객관적으로 확인할 수 있는 자료 및 정보를 근거로 판단한다.

 

Certification criteria are applied on the basis of finalized evaluation results and objectively verifiable data and information.

 

인증대상과 SEC 또는 관련 기관 사이의 경제적·사업적 관계나 재정적 기여 여부는 그 자체로 인증 여부를 유리하거나 불리하게 결정하는 근거가 될 수 없다.

 

The existence of an economic or business relationship or financial contribution involving an eligible organization and SEC or a related organization cannot in itself constitute a basis for a more favorable or unfavorable certification decision.

 

인증결과의 유리한 변경을 조건으로 금전적 또는 기타 경제적 이익을 요구하거나 제공받지 않는다.

 

No monetary or other economic benefit is requested or received in exchange for a favorable change to a certification decision.

 

 

 

Ⅴ. 인증의 제한

V. Limitations on Certification

 

 

인증기준을 충족하지 못하거나 인증 여부를 판단하는 데 필요한 요건이 충족되지 않은 경우에는 인증을 부여하지 않는다.

 

Certification is not granted where the certification criteria are not satisfied or where requirements necessary to determine certification status have not been met.

 

인증결정에 중대한 영향을 미칠 수 있는 사실관계 또는 자료에 대한 확인이 필요한 경우에는 해당 사항을 확인한 후 인증 여부를 결정한다.

 

Where confirmation is required regarding facts or information that may materially affect a certification decision, certification status is determined after the relevant matter has been reviewed.

 

인증결정 이후 인증의 유지에 영향을 미치는 중대한 사유가 확인된 경우에는 관련 규정과 정해진 절차에 따라 필요한 조치를 적용한다.

 

Where a material circumstance affecting the maintenance of certification is identified after a certification decision, necessary measures are applied in accordance with applicable regulations and established procedures.

 

 

 

Ⅵ. Rating과 인증기준의 적용

VI. Application of Ratings and Certification Criteria

 

 

SEC WFSRI Rating과 인증은 서로 연계할 수 있으나 동일한 제도는 아니다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating and certification may be linked but are not the same system.

 

특정 Rating을 부여받았다는 사실만으로 별도의 인증이 자동으로 부여되는 것은 아니며, 인증 여부는 해당 인증제도에서 정한 인증기준과 절차에 따라 결정한다.

 

Receipt of a particular Rating does not by itself automatically confer separate certification. Certification status is determined in accordance with the criteria and procedures established under the applicable Certification Program.

 

특히 SEC WFSRI Rating의 BB(Certified)는 공식 평가등급의 명칭이며, 별도의 인증제도에 따른 인증 여부와 구분한다.

 

In particular, BB (Certified) in the SEC WFSRI Rating is the designation of an official Rating level and is distinguished from certification status under the separate Certification Program.

 

 

 

Ⅶ. 인증기준의 관리

VII. Management of Certification Criteria

 

 

SEC는 평가체계의 발전, 인증제도의 운영과정에서 확인된 개선 필요사항 및 관련 환경의 변화 등을 고려하여 인증기준을 검토하고 관리한다.

 

SEC reviews and manages certification criteria in consideration of developments in the evaluation framework, areas for improvement identified through operation of the Certification Program, and changes in the relevant environment.

 

인증기준을 변경하는 경우에는 정해진 검토와 개정절차를 거쳐 적용하고, 변경된 기준의 적용시점과 적용대상을 명확하게 관리한다.

 

Where certification criteria are changed, the revised criteria are implemented through established review and revision procedures, with clear management of their effective date and scope of application.

 

인증기준을 충족한 평가대상에 대한 인증의 심사·결정 및 이후의 관리절차는 「인증절차」에서 제시한다.

 

The review, determination, and subsequent management procedures for certification-eligible organizations that satisfy the certification criteria are presented under “Certification Process.”
