SEC는 기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 책임경영을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가하고 신뢰할 수 있는 평가정보를 제공함으로써, 조직의 책임 있는 의사결정과 지속가능한 발전 및 미래 경쟁력을 지원하는 평가전문기관을 지향한다.

SEC는 기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 책임경영을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가하고, 그 결과를 신뢰할 수 있는 평가정보로 제공하여 책임 있는 의사결정과 지속가능한 발전을 지원한다.

 

SEC objectively and systematically evaluates Responsible Management across corporations, public institutions, and other organizations and provides the resulting outcomes as reliable evaluation information to support responsible decision-making and Sustainable Development.

 

이를 위해 SEC는 SEC 평가방법론(SEC Evaluation Methodology)과 SEC 평가체계(SEC Evaluation Framework)를 지속적으로 고도화하고, 평가(Evaluation), 등급(Rating), 인증(Certification), 분석(Analysis), 연구(Research) 및 정책개발(Policy Development) 역량을 발전시켜 나간다.

 

To fulfill this mission, SEC continuously advances the SEC Evaluation Methodology and SEC Evaluation Framework and strengthens its capabilities in Evaluation, Rating, Certification, Analysis, Research, and Policy Development.

 

 

Ⅲ. 핵심가치

III. Core Values

 

 

SEC의 핵심가치는 책임경영 평가가 지향하는 가치와 방향을 나타낸다. SEC는 다음의 6대 핵심가치를 중심으로 기업·공공기관 및 기타 조직의 책임경영을 종합적으로 바라본다.

 

SEC’s Core Values represent the values and direction that Responsible Management evaluation seeks to advance. SEC takes a comprehensive view of Responsible Management across corporations, public institutions, and other organizations through the following six Core Values.

 

 

① 책임경영 (Responsible Management)

 

조직이 자신의 역할과 영향력을 인식하고, 의사결정과 활동이 사회와 환경, 이해관계자와 공동체, 현재세대와 미래세대에 미치는 영향에 상응하는 책임을 이행하는 것을 중요하게 본다.

 

Emphasis is placed on organizations recognizing their roles and influence and fulfilling responsibilities corresponding to the impacts of their decisions and activities on society and the environment, stakeholders and communities, and present and future generations.

 

 

② 지속가능성 (Sustainability)

 

현재의 성과뿐만 아니라 장기적인 관점에서 조직의 지속가능한 발전과 가치창출 역량을 중요하게 본다.

 

Emphasis is placed not only on current performance but also on an organization’s capacity for Sustainable Development and value creation from a long-term perspective.

 

 

③ 공공가치 (Public Value)

 

조직의 의사결정과 활동이 사회와 공공의 이익에 미치는 영향을 고려하고 공공가치의 창출과 증진을 중요하게 본다.

 

Consideration is given to the impacts of organizational decisions and activities on society and the public interest, with emphasis on the creation and advancement of Public Value.

 

 

④ 사회적 가치 (Social Value)

 

인권, 노동, 안전, 평등, 다양성, 포용 등 조직이 사회적 책임을 이행하는 과정에서 창출하는 사회적 가치를 중요하게 본다.

 

Emphasis is placed on Social Value created through the fulfillment of organizational responsibilities in areas including human rights, labor, safety, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

 

 

⑤ 공동체 가치 (Community Value)

 

조직과 지역사회 및 다양한 공동체의 관계를 바탕으로 협력, 신뢰, 사회적 회복력과 공동체의 지속가능한 발전에 대한 기여를 중요하게 본다.

 

Emphasis is placed on cooperation, trust, social resilience, and contributions to the Sustainable Development of communities based on the relationships between organizations, local communities, and broader society.

 

 

⑥ 혁신역량 및 미래대응 (Innovation Capability and Future Readiness)

 

사회·환경·산업·기술환경의 변화와 새롭게 등장하는 위험과 기회를 인식하고 이에 능동적으로 대응하며 지속가능한 미래를 준비하는 조직의 혁신역량과 미래대응 역량을 중요하게 본다.

 

Emphasis is placed on an organization’s Innovation Capability and Future Readiness to recognize and proactively respond to changes in social, environmental, industrial, and technological conditions, as well as emerging risks and opportunities, while preparing for a sustainable future.

 

 

 

Ⅳ. 평가 기본원칙

IV. Fundamental Principles of Evaluation

 

 

SEC는 책임경영 평가의 독립성과 공정성, 전문성과 신뢰성을 확보하기 위하여 독립성(Independence), 공정성(Fairness), 객관성(Objectivity), 전문성(Professionalism), 투명성(Transparency), 신뢰성(Reliability)의 6대 기본원칙에 따라 평가를 수행한다.

 

SEC conducts Responsible Management evaluations in accordance with the six Fundamental Principles of Independence, Fairness, Objectivity, Professionalism, Transparency, and Reliability to safeguard the independence, fairness, professionalism, and credibility of its evaluations.

 

 

① 독립성 (Independence)

 

SEC는 외부의 부당한 영향이나 이해관계가 평가과정과 개별 평가결과에 부당한 영향을 미치지 않도록 평가의 독립성을 유지한다.

 

SEC maintains the Independence of its evaluations by preventing undue external influence or conflicting interests from improperly affecting the evaluation process or individual evaluation results.

 

 

② 공정성 (Fairness)

 

SEC는 일관된 평가원칙과 절차에 따라 평가를 수행하며, 특정 평가대상에 자의적으로 유리하거나 불리한 평가기준을 적용하지 않는다.

 

SEC conducts evaluations in accordance with consistent evaluation principles and procedures and does not arbitrarily apply evaluation criteria in a manner that favors or disadvantages particular evaluation subjects.

 

 

③ 객관성 (Objectivity)

 

SEC는 객관적인 자료와 검증 가능한 정보를 바탕으로 평가를 수행하고, 평가결과가 합리적인 근거와 평가과정을 통해 도출되도록 한다.

 

SEC conducts evaluations based on objective data and verifiable information and ensures that evaluation results are derived through reasonable evidence and evaluation processes.

 

 

④ 전문성 (Professionalism)

 

SEC는 전문적인 평가방법론과 평가체계를 적용하고 지속적인 연구와 검토를 통해 평가역량과 평가의 품질을 지속적으로 높여 나간다.

 

SEC applies professional Evaluation Methodology and Evaluation Framework and continuously strengthens its evaluation capabilities and quality through ongoing research and review.

 

 

⑤ 투명성 (Transparency)

 

SEC는 공개가 필요한 평가원칙과 평가체계 및 주요 평가절차에 관한 정보를 적절하게 공개하고 평가과정의 투명성을 확보한다.

 

SEC promotes transparency in the evaluation process by appropriately disclosing information on evaluation principles, the Evaluation Framework, and key evaluation procedures where disclosure is appropriate.

 

 

⑥ 신뢰성 (Reliability)

 

SEC는 일관된 평가체계와 객관적으로 검증된 평가자료를 바탕으로 평가를 수행하고, 평가과정과 평가결과의 신뢰성을 지속적으로 높여 나간다.

 

SEC conducts evaluations based on a consistent Evaluation Framework and objectively verified evaluation materials and continuously strengthens the Reliability of its evaluation process and evaluation results.
